Pizzana started not in a commercial kitchen, but in a small Dallas home where founder Marco Delano spent weekends perfecting his grandmother's Italian dough recipe. What began as a cherished family ritual — flour-dusted countertops, wood-fire aromas, laughter over imperfect circles — became the seed of something much bigger.
In 2015, Marco opened the first Pizzana location in Dallas, TX. The response was immediate. Locals came for the pizzana experience — thick, airy crusts, house-made sauces, and toppings sourced from regional farms. Word spread, and the waitlists grew. Today, Pizzana serves thousands of guests each month, yet every pie is still crafted with the same hands-on dedication that started it all.

Marco Delano opens the original Pizzana location on Preston Rd, Dallas. A 40-seat restaurant with a wood-fire oven and a menu of 8 classic pies. The line stretches around the block on opening night.
Head Chef Elena Moretti joins the team, introducing the signature pizanna thick-crust method — a slow 48-hour cold ferment that became the cornerstone of our identity and earned rave reviews across Texas.
Pizzana launches its catering service and online ordering platform, bringing handcrafted pizza directly to events and homes across Dallas and surrounding communities.
